English as a Second Language for academic purposes at Red Rocks Community College serves both the local Colorado population and international students. We prepare students for academic success in their college pathways, career advancement, or personal enrichment.

If you are an international student, please contact our International Students Services Office for more information about studying at Red Rocks Community College.

Program Information

We have three levels of ESL and offer free placement testing.

Our ESL program is a 12 credit (college credit) intensive program.

Red Rocks ESL classes run three days a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9:00am – 12:30pm.

Our classes are on the Red Rocks Community College semester calendar and are held in person on the Lakewood campus.

We also offer free ESL tutoring to support your English studies.

Check back for more ESL offerings in the future.

Paying for College

If you are a Colorado resident, you need to apply for FAFSA (Federal financial aid). If you are a resident student, it is possible to receive financial support for your college tuition and books. You can find the cost of tuition on the rrcc.edu webpage under “paying for college”, but a 12-credit semester will cost a Colorado resident about $2100 per semester. Please plan ahead for financial aid as it can take time to process. We are here to help and support you through the enrollment process.
